Mr. Murphy is an experienced business litigator with an extensive background in solving and litigating a wide variety of business-related legal issues. Admitted to practice in both New York and Connecticut, Mr. Murphy has successfully represented corporate clients in a wide variety of complex business disputes encompassing everything from breach of contract actions to class actions and litigations arising out of merger and acquisition transactions. He also has experience negotiating, advising and litigating on behalf of companies and individuals as to employment contracts and representing corporations and individuals in SEC, NYSE and other governmental investigations.
Mr. Murphy has represented clients at the trial and appellate level in the state and federal courts of New York and Connecticut and in arbitrations conducted by FINRA and the American Arbitration Association. Before launching his own practice, Mr. Murphy was associated with the New York law firm Cahill Gordon & Reindel, was a founding partner of the New York-based litigation boutique, Robinson Murphy & McDonald and a partner in White Plains New York and Greenwich, Connecticut firm, Bleakley Platt & Schmidt.
